Infrastructure Applications

Besides the user-oriented gateway applications (see Find, Use & Process), CLARIN also develops the following infrastructure web applications, which are mainly intended for a technical audience or infrastructure developers:

Application Description
Centre Registry The central registry for machine accessible information about centres, consortia and services.
Component Registry An application to manage and create CLARIN-compliant metadata profiles. The Component Registry stores CMDI metadata components and profiles and offers a service to list, retrieve, store and modify them.
Concept Registry An application to manage and create CLARIN-compliant concept definitions. The CLARIN Concept Registry (CCR) forms the basis of CLARIN's semantic interoperability layer, especially in the context of metadata (CMDI). It does so by offering a collection of concepts, identifiable by their persistent identifiers, relevant for the domain of language resources. The CCR is based on SKOSMOS, an open source web-based SKOS browser and publishing tool.
Digital Object Gateway (DOG) An abstraction layer for accessing Digital Objects that are referred to with a Persistent Identifier or URL.
FCS endpoint validator An application to check the validity of an -CQL endpoint for content search.
Harvester An application to harvest the metadata descriptions from centres. The OAI Harvester manages the regular harvests of CMD records from endpoints provided by the CLARIN centers and additionally harvests of and records from various other endpoints. See also the FAQ.
Metadata Curation Dashboard A front-end application allowing for automated metadata quality, correctness and integrity checks.
OAI-PMH validator An application to check the validity of an endpoint for metadata harvesting.
