The CLARIN-D follow-up grant has been approved for the period of 1 October 2016 to 30 September 2020.
The grant will support eight CLARIN Centres in Germany that are located at the following institutions:
- Bayerisches Archiv für Sprachsignale at the Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München;
- Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften in Berlin;
- Institut für Deutsche Sprache in Mannheim;
- Zentrum für Sprachkorpora at the Universität Hamburg;
- Institut für Informatik at the Universität Leipzig;
- Institut für Englische Sprach- und Übersetzungswissenschaft at the Universität des Saarlandes in Saarbrücken;
- Institut für Maschinelle Sprachverarbeitung at the Universität Stuttgart;
- Seminar für Sprachwissenschaft at the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen
The grant will also support the activities of eight working groups within different disciplines of the Digital Humanities and Social Sciences.
Funding will be provided by the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, by the Ministries of Education and Science of the Bundesländer, and by local funds of the universities hosting CLARIN Centres in Germany.
The national activities of CLARIN-D and the liaison with CLARIN ERIC will continue to be coordinated by the CLARIN-D Coordination Office at the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, directed by Prof. Erhard Hinrichs as Scientific Coordinator of CLARIN-D.
