The Language Technology Centre CL-PL at the Wrocław University of Technology has now been officially recognized as CLARIN B Centre.
As all other 16 CLARIN B centres before it, the LTC has gone through a thorough procedure with an external assessment by the Data Seal of Approval and an internal assessment by CLARIN's assessment committee.
Poland is already a very active partner within CLARIN. The Polish centre contributes not only with key language resources such as the huge National Corpus of Polish (1 billion tokens), plWordNet 2.0, a very large wordnet for Polish, orthe Korpus Politechniki Wrocławskiej, an open Polish corpus with rich annotation, but also with advanced language technology tools for Polish and in general.
CLARIN congratulates the new centre and thanks all persons involved in particular those responsible at the new centre and the members of the assessment committees.
